This Guidance Document is designed to support the implementation of the E-PRTR by addressing in particular: reporting procedures; the data to be reported; quality assurance and assessment; confidentiality; release determination, analytical methods and sampling methodologies; indication of parent companies; and coding of activities. The primary focus of the guidance document is the bottom of the information chain, where information is generated by facility operators and the quality of this information is assessed by the competent authorities.
