Latest News US EPA releases report on dioxins

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released last month its health assessment of dioxins. The report provides hazard identification and dose-response information on 2,3,7,8- tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) and the most up-to-date analysis of non-cancer health effects from TCDD exposure. The health assessment does not set enforceable standards, but provides information that may lead to actions such as control of industrial emissions and of hazardous waste sites.
